Gators Lead for Magnolia State Star

Anthony Summers is one of the best players in the Magnolia State for the class of '06 and he's been raking in offers left and right. At this time however, only four schools stand out and one SEC east power has gained a rather big advantage.

"Florida, LSU, Miami and Oklahoma are my favorites. Florida is my favorite school now," Anthony Summers said.

What has put the Gators out front?

"It just feels like home. I went to camp with there and the coaches and players were real cool. They want me to play safety for them."

What was the best part of his trip to Gainesville?

"The funnest thing about the trip was being with the players. Just playing games and hanging out with the boys. The stadium was also really big and I liked that."

What stands out about the other schools on his list?

LSU: "I love the stadium."

Miami: "I've been liking them for a long time."

Oklahoma: "They have a great winning tradition."

Summers is looking at making a decision later this year.

"I plan on making a decision sometime during the season. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to sign with Florida right now though."

What will he be basing his decision upon?

"I just want to see how good I feel at the campus. I want to get to know the coaches and the players as well. Just see how I fit in."

Anthony will attend one final camp on June 23rd at Mississippi State University.
