Pittsburgh (Pa.) Baldwin defensive tackle Jason Pinkston (6-4, 270, 4.9) will announce his college choice on Monday, June 27th at South Hills Country Club. Baldwin alumnus and current University of Pittsburgh head coach Dave Wannstedt will be hosting a benefit golf outing that day. "There will be a lot of former Baldwin players and coaches there, so I figured it would be a good day to do it," Pinkston said.
Now with the Pittsburgh ties one would assume that it will be Pittsburgh, but Pinkston has announced that he will choose one of three teams.
"I will decide between Pittsburgh, Michigan, and Georgia," Pinkston said. Just missing the final cut for Pinkston's services were Penn State, LSU, and Ohio State.
Pittsburgh: "They have a great coaching staff, and Coach Wannstedt went to Baldwin."
Michigan: "They have great academics and tradition."
Georgia: "They play in the SEC which is a great conference, and they have a strong tradition."
Pinkston's teammate, linebacker Justin Hargrove (6-4, 230, 4.6) is expected to announce his decision as well.
In his first season as a defensive starter Pinkston tallied 100 tackles, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. He was named first-team All-Conference, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 South, and Tribune-Review Terrific 25.
