Georgia Looking hard at Carolina Kicker

Richard Jackson is both a Punter and Kicker prospect for Riverside High School in Greer, South Carolina. The 5'11 and 185 pound Greer had a 44 yard punting average, and was 8 of 11 in field goals, last fall. Jackson is currently undecided but is he close to making a decision?

"I'm not too far away from a decision," said Richard Jackson. "Clemson, Georgia, Maryland, Duke, Texas A&M, and LSU have offered," said Jackson. "I like all of them but not sure which school I'll choose yet."

Jackson has kept in close contact with two schools in the south region.

"All the schools have been great to me. I like all of them equally. I've been in the closest contact with Clemson and LSU. Both coaching staffs have been persistent in recruiting me."

Jackson isn't concerned about staying close to home.

"Location won't be a problem. All of the schools I'm interested in are relatively close to here."

Jackson has attended three team camps so far this summer.

"I've been to Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama for their camps. I don't have anymore camps scheduled for the summer. I think I'm done with camps for the summer."

Jackson plans to commit before the season begins.

"I haven't planned any official visits. I'm hoping to commit before the school year begins. I'll probably take an official visit to the school I commit too."

What are Jackson's goals for the upcoming season?

"I want to keep improving and be more consistent. I'm looking to gain momentum leading into my freshman season."

Where Jackson suits up for the 2006 is undecided. His commitment is right around the corner. Stay tuned to Scout.com to see which school Jackson will choose.
