"We worked hard at the camp but I like that," said Chris Davis. "When coaches are recruiting they're nice to you. At this camp they were hard on us, and it was more of a real environment."
Davis has good speed at 250 pounds and will play Tight End for Jefferson this fall. With size and ability Davis will likely be moved to another position at Georgia.
"I've been working on my speed all summer with CES (Competitive
Edge Sports). I believe I'm running a legitimate 4.8 or 4.9 (40 yard dash) right now. The coaches at Georgia want me at Offensive Tackle because of my speed and footwork."
Davis is anxious about his arrival in Athens next fall.
"It will be a new life down there. It's like starting your life over. It will be a new experience living with someone outside my family. I'm not sure what I'd like to major in. I'll decide that sometime during my freshman or sophomore year."
Stay tuned for the latest on Chris Davis right up through Signing Day 2006.
