Profle 2003 - Dustin Wade (QB)
One of the top quarterbacks in Georgia next season will be Dustin Wade.  Last season, was his first as the starting QB for the state champion Parkview Panthers.  All he did was lead them to an undefeated season and another state title.
"Dustin is our leader," said Parkview Head Coach Cecil Flowe.  "He has a good chance at the next level because he throws the ball so well."

Last season as a junior, Wade passed for over 2,000 yards, 26 TDs and only 3 interceptions.

"I think my arm strength is my best attribute," said Wade.  "I can also read defenses and I am the leader.  I know where people are supposed to be and doing in this offense."

Wade will attend the Nike Camp (Tuscaloosa - Alabama) and would also like to camp at Georgia, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina.

"I would love to play at Georgia.  Coach Richt is great.  I would also love to play at Florida.  They have had a lot of recent tradition.  Those are my two favorites.  I also like Alabama, South Carolina and many others."

Profle 2003 - Maurice Nelson (LB/SS)
One of the top defensive prospects from the Palmetto State next season will be strong safety/ linebacker Maurice Nelson.  Nelson, from Sumpter (SC) Crestwood, plays both positions in high school.
"Speed is the one thing that sets him apart on the football field," said Crestwood Head Coach Keith Crowley.  "Maurice is a determined kid that works hard.  He is our leader.  Maurice could play either position in college.  It just depends on the school.  He is that versatile."

Last season as a junior, Nelson recorded 141 tackles and 5 sacks.  "I think I like strong safety a little better," said Nelson.  "I like playing in coverage but I also love to use my speed and blitz.  I like to get after it.  When I make a big hit, it is a hit.  You will know."

Nelson's older brother, Rosevelt, is a red-shirt freshman at Clemson.  Do the Tigers have the best shot at landing him?  "I am pretty open right now.  I like Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland and NC State.  I am looking at coaching staffs and for a chance to win a National Championship.  I would love to play with my brother but I have to wait and see what is best for me."

Profle 2003 - Will Roach (WR/DB)
One of the very best prospects from the state of Alabama is Will Roach.  If the name sounds familiar, it should because his brother, Freddie, plays for the Crimson Tide.  So does his other brother, Quentin Bowens.  His eldest brother, Tim Bowens, also played for Alabama.  Will he follow his older brothers to Tuscaloosa?
"I am not going to say either way," said Roach.  "Right now, I am kind of favoring Tennessee.  I want to see what other schools are all about.  Alabama may not be for me and it is not for everyone.  Tennessee is my leader and I also like Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, Mississippi State, LSU and Arkansas.

"All my brothers have said to go where I feel comfortable and they will support my decision.  There is something about Tennessee that I really like."

Roach, 6-1 and 190 pounds, stars on both sides of the ball for Brooks High School.  He plays both wide receiver and defensive back.  "I prefer wide receiver.  I like to catch it and do something with it.  But I need to get quicker and faster.  I wouldn't mind playing defensive back either if it doesn't not work out at wideout.

"My older brother Tim once told me that if there is anything in life worth having then you have to work for it.  That has always stuck with me.  I know if I continue to work hard, everything will take care of itself."
