DL Taking A Look Around

John Graves is one of the best players in the east region this year and he was recently awarded 4-star status on Scout.com. At this point in the process John is not ready to name any favorites but he does have four schools under heavy consideration. Who are they?

"I don't have any favorites yet. I guess you could say I'm looking at Virginia Tech, Virginia, Georgia and Florida. Those are some of the ones I'm looking at. I wouldn't call them favorites but those are some great schools," John Graves said.

What does he like about each of those programs?

Virginia: "I like their coaching staff. I got a chance to meet them on many different occasions. Their campus is great and I like their players and how they interact away from the field. Every time you hear a press conference with them they never down-talk anyone else."

Virginia Tech: "I love their coaches. I haven't toured there too much yet but I want to see more. I'm sure they have a lot to offer academically. Their stadium is ridiculously great. The fans are outstanding out there."

Georgia: "I love their program. Their program is one of the tops in the country and I've gotten to know my recruiter. They have a lot of history and tradition at Georgia and that's one thing I think is really great."

Florida: "That's another traditional school. The location is great. Coach Gonzalez recruits me very hard and he shows a lot of interest even though they haven't offered yet."

Graves has already tripped to Virginia this summer and it looks like the Hokies could get his next visit.

"I've been to Virginia and I'm taking an unofficial up to Virginia Tech soon. I just want to get up on the campus and see the surroundings. Look at the guys they have coming in for my recruiting class."

What is he looking for in a school?

"I just want a school that has the same goals as me. I want to win a national championship because I think if you play college football that should be your goal. I love football and I love to compete."

John is versatile enough to play inside or outside on the next level. Does he have a preference?

"Me, I'm willing to help the team out no matter what. I'll play whatever position they ask me to do."

He already knows two of his five official visit destinations.

"Virginia and Virginia Tech will get officials because they are in-state schools. I know the staffs real well and they'll definitely get official visits."
