Larmoyeux Signs To Swim For Bulldogs

ATHENS - The Georgia men's swimming and diving team recently signed Mikey Larmoyeux of Jacksonville, Fla., to a national letter-of-intent.

Larmoyeux attends The Bolles School and swims for Coach Jeff Popell, a former Georgia swimmer who has a UGA team award named in his honor rewarding career achievements and leadership.

Larmoyeux received Bolles' Outstanding Athlete Award in 2005 after serving as the captain of the swim team. Larmoyeux was a High School All-American in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 IM. He also was the state champ in the 100 breaststroke and was the runner-up in the 200 IM. Larmoyeux was a Senior National Qualifier in the 200 breaststroke and is a five-time U.S. Open qualifier (100 and 200 breast, 200 and 400 IM, and 200 butterfly).

Larmoyeux is the son of Mikey and Ellen Larmoyeux. His father swam collegiately at Florida.
