McKinzey wants to "pick it up"

ATHENS – Zeb McKinzey spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: How has camp been for you so far this fall?

Zeb McKinzey: It's been going pretty good. My shoulder has been bothering me some, and that's been frustrating. It's my left shoulder. As a whole, I think camp has been going well. I think the offensive line is starting to pick it up a little bit.

How about the heat – has that gotten to you yet?

It's hard, but you have to get through it. The first few days were nice, because we got some overcast, but it's starting to heat up now – it's getting tougher, but I don't think it will be an issue.

How do you get going this fall – how do you get onto the field this fall a lot?

I think I need to keep working hard, and pick it up a little bit during practice. I think I need to show Coach Callaway that I can compete, and I think he'll give me a chance to play.

Have you been working any at center, or has it been strictly guard?

I've just been working spilt guard.
