Milton settles in at fullback

ATHENS – Tony Milton spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: Can you talk a little about your move from tailback to fullback?

Tony Milton: It's been great – anything to help the team.

Did you have concerns about the position having more physical demands on you?

No. It's pretty much the same thing as tailback with the blocking assignments, so there's been no big change.

Did you approach the coaches (about moving to fullback?

No. They came to me, and asked me, and I was more than willing to do anything to help the team.

Do you think that your blocking prowess in the backfield is one thing that made them think, "We've got to give him a shot at fullback?"

I'm not sure what they thought about that. Des went down, and they needed someone to help out, and I want to do anything to help the team.

Do you consider your blocking a strength?

I'll do anything to help the team; if it's blocking, running – anything just to help the team win.

You've had to fight through some things physically in the last few years. How do you feel now?

I feel much better, but I'm not 100%. I feel better than I have since I have been here. I've gone through a lot of injures, but what can you do about that? You can't go back and change anything.
