Ready To Set First Visit?

Houston County High School's Quintin Banks is one of the top players in the mid-state this recruiting year. He already holds more than a handful of impressive offers and four schools currently sit at the top of his list. Who are they?

"I'm still looking at the same schools. I've been talking to Illinois, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech and I'm considering them, but I still like Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee and Purdue right now," Quintin Banks said.

What stands out about those programs?

Georgia: "They're a winning program and they have very good academics."

Auburn: "That's another winning program and I liked the camp over there."

Tennessee: "Tradition and my family."

Purdue: "My former teammate Brandon King is up there but I don't know too much about them yet other than what the coaches say."

Banks will attend UGA's season opener against the Boise State Broncos, but will he make that trip his official visit?

"I'm going up to see Georgia play Boise State on the 3rd. I think I'm going to make that my official visit but I'm not real sure yet."

Houston County kicked off the season against cross-town rival Warner Robins High School on Friday night. The Bears came up 7 points short but Banks turned in his normal solid game.

"We played pretty well but it was just one or two big plays that beat us. I still had about 14 tackles and a fumble recovery."
