ScoutTV presents Sr. Footage of Top Ga. Safety

While there was a big party in the Georgia Dome on Saturday at the Corky Kell Classic, those for games weren't the only game in town Saturday night. Douglass and Washington hooked up in a defensive battle that ended with Douglass winning 2-0. The most highly recruited player in that game was Washington's Reshad Jones, and he showed why with several big hits.

Reshad Jones had the look of a free safety as a junior. He was capable of the big hit, but didn't always go out of his way to be in on every stop. As a senior, Jones has gotten much tougher as is to be expected as a player matures, and he is flying all over the field making momentum changing tackles, both figuratively and literally. When Jones makes a big hit, he swings the momentum in favor of his Bulldog team, and he swings the momentum of the ball carrier in the other diection.

Jones helped save several tackles with his speed, and one of his most impressive plays was chasing down a reverse and driving the ball carrier out of bounds, turning what could have been a huge play into a short game.

While his Bulldog team came up short against the Astros, Jones showed why he can name his school this fall. Jones is considering schools such as Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida, and Miami.

See him in action in this presentation by ScoutTV.
