Peach State DL Likes the SEC

Macon, Georgia's Michael Lemon is a defensive lineman to keep a close eye on this recruiting year. He's picked up offers from some of the top programs in the south and he currently lists 4 SEC schools at the top of his list.

"I have a couple of offers from Georgia, LSU, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Minnesota and a couple of others I cant think of off the top of my head right now. Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Florida are the schools I like right now. I don't necessarily have a favorite yet," Michael Lemon said.

Georgia:  "I like the coaches at Georgia and the location obviously. I like the team. It seems like they have all their stuff together and seem like they know a lot. The academics are also really good up there. They've talked about defensive end and tight end for me if I go there."

LSU:  "I like the whole city down there. I like the campus. The coaches seem to have their stuff together and the academics are just really, really nice."

Auburn:  "It's like a real college town. Everything just revolves around the school."

Florida:  "I like the fans down there in Florida and the people down there. I grew up around Florida because I had a lot of family in that area."

Does Lemon see himself playing inside or outside on the next level?

"The nose guard thing I'm doing now was just put in before the start of the season. It's just to help the team. Last week I ended the game with 13 total tackles, 1 sack and an interception."

How close is the Stratford defensive lineman to making a decision?

"Hopefully I'm getting ready to make a decision. it's going to be sooner than later but I don't want to rush anything."

Michael has yet to set any official visits but he's heading south down I-75 on Saturday to check out the Florida Gators as they square off against the Wyoming Cowboys.

"I'm trying to get to a couple of college games this season. Me and my coach are headed down to Florida to see Urban Meyer's first game this weekend."
