"I was at practice on Wednesday (8-24), and one of our players came out in the flats. I hit him with my shoulder," said Asher Allen. "I laid him out, but my shoulder was cocked a little funny. I tore a ligament in my shoulder. They said I was out two to four weeks. We have a bye week after are second week, so I'll be back for the Marist game. It was hard watching this game (Americus-Sumter) though."
While Allen won't be in pads this week, he'll be heading to one of his favorite
schools to watch them in their first game.
"I'll be going to Boise State (at Georgia) game. I haven't set up any
official visits yet though. I know I'm going to Georgia, Florida, and LSU. Those
are the three schools I'm looking at. I'm still looking for two other schools,
but I know I'm going to stay in the SEC, and those three schools are at the top
of the SEC."
Allen said he is getting close to making a decision.
"I'd like to try and have a decision by the end of September or the
beginning of October for sure. I know I'll go to all three schools before I make
a decision though, but I'm about ready to get it over with."
Allen missed Tucker's big game against Americus-Sumter, and he will have to
watch at least one more before his Tiger team takes on its biggest rival,
Marist, on September 16th. It should be a big couple of weeks for the South
Hot 100 Corner, because he'll get back on the field and plans on having a
decision shortly after.
