4 Star Ga. Athlete Gives Visit High Marks

Darryl Gamble is a big athlete that has played safety and linebacker for his Bainbridge team, and he will likely make the move to linebacker full time on the next level. He has been holding steady with a leader all summer, and he went to check them out this weekend.

"I have about 12 offers right now," said Darryl Gamble. "Some of the schools are Georgia, South Carolina, NC State, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson, and Tennessee."

Like most top prospect, Gamble's phone has been busy since coaches were allowed to start calling on September 1st.

"Arkansas was the first school to call me. Coach Vaughn called me. I've also gotten calls from Georgia, South Carolina, NC State, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Clemson."

Gamble plans on setting up his official visits in the next few weeks, but he took an unofficial visit to his leader over the weekend.

"I just got back from watching Georgia/South Carolina. I got to talk with Coach Richt, Coach Bobo, Coach Callaway, and Coach Jensen before the game. They pretty much asked me how my season was going, what schools I'm interested in, things like that."

What were his impressions of the Athens crowd in a big SEC matchup?

"I really enjoyed watching the game. The crowd was so pumped up. I actually found myself pulling for Georgia during the game."

The Bulldogs are still planted at the top of Gamble's leaderboard.

"Georgia is still my leader followed by Auburn, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. Those schools will definitely get a visit. I haven't decided on the fifth visit yet."

Bainbridge had a big inter-state game with Tallahassee's Rickards High School on Friday night.

"We played Rickards on Friday night and won 15-6. I had four tackles and a sack on defense, and on offense I had three carries for 70 yards and a touchdown. We play Dougherty this Friday night."

Darryl Gamble is a Four Star prospect by Scout.com and a member of the South Hot 100.
