Talented Safety Returns From Athens

Safety Reshad Jones is a highly recruited prospect from the city of Atlanta who has drawn attention from schools across the country. On Saturday he made the decision to drive the 70 or so miles over to Athens, GA to watch the home state Bulldogs take on the South Carolina Gamecocks. How did it go?

"It went real good. The coaches are cool and I like the facilities. I like the stadium and the locker room and all that," Reshad Jones said.

What stood out most about the trip?

"The best part was just being around those Dawgs. The Dawg Walk was real good. The fans were all calling my name and telling me to come to Georgia."

Jones got a chance to spend some time with Bulldog head coach Mark Richt.

"I talked to Coach Richt over there and he was just telling me I needed to come over there and be a part of that. I liked what I saw."

After not listing Georgia early in the process, it appears they have now climbed into contention along with some other national powers who were perceived to be the favorites for the 4-star early on.

"I'm looking at Florida, Oklahoma, Michigan, Georgia and Miami. I'm not ready to name a leader yet or anything though."
