Darryl Gamble (6-2, 215) of Bainbridge High School has been leaning to Georgia for some time, and this week he pulled the trigger and became the Georgia Bulldogs' 20th public commitment. Gamble is a linebacker prospect that had offers from all around the south.
Gamble is a member of the South
Hot 100 and the #11
ranked player in the state of Georgia. He is a 4 Star prospect by Scout.com and the #31 linebacker prospect in the country.
Gamble played safety as a junior, but he has made the move to linebacker as a
senior. His future will be as a linebacker on the college level as well, a
position of strength typically for the Bulldogs, but one that has taken its
lumps in the depth department over the course of the past six months.
See Gamble in action from his linebacker spot as a senior as Scout.com was
present to film him in a hard fought win against Cairo on September 2nd.
#26 Outside Linebacker Darryl Gamble
Scott Kennedy Scout Report: Darryl Gamble has excellent size at his
outside linebacker position at 6-2 and 215 pounds. He played safety as a junior,
so he is just learning the linebacker position. Once he gets the feel of the
position, his speed will really show through, and he will show that he is a big
hitter. He runs extremely well and he will be hard to stop on defense once he is
anticipating rather than reacting.
