ATHENS - The No. 6-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) practiced for two hours here Wednesday afternoon to prepare for this Saturday's SEC road matchup with Mississippi State (2-1, 0-1 SEC).
coach Mark Richt
said the Bulldogs worked hard Wednesday, but he was not happy with the performance of the offense during the final phase of the workout which featured the one-minute drill.
"The offense was sloppy, there was a lot of mistakes by the players and coaches in our one-minute offense, it was almost comical," said Richt. "Hopefully, we'll get better. However, the defense did a good job, they got it done."
A few Bulldogs who are starting to get healthier include junior guard Josh Brock and junior flanker Sean Bailey, and Richt said he was encouraged with their progress.
"Josh and Sean got a little work in today and that's good to see," said Richt. "Josh has to get back in football shape, it's a contact sport on every play for a lineman, and we'll see how it goes each day. Sean is coming around too."
Redshirt freshman Kenneth Harris and sophomore T.J. Gartrell have been rotating in with the first unit while Bailey has been on the mend.
Kick-off for Saturday's game is slated for 9:12 p.m. ET, and the contest will be televised nationally by espn2.
