Actions Speak Louder than Words

Cameron Smith is having a monster season at Brookwood this year. He has had 300 yard games, and he has had seven touchdown games. Right now he is focused on the season along with a big matchup Friday night.

"I'm holding about 40 offers right now," said Cameron Smith. "I haven't talked with any coaches on the phone since September 1st. I'm not that interested in recruiting right now. I let my mom talk to the coaches when they call. I'm more interested in winning the State Championship right now."

While the game has little bearing on the State Championship other than jockeying for seeds, the annual battle between Brookwood and Parkview is always one of the State's marquee events.

"I'm looking forward to this game. It's going to be a tough one, but I think we can get the job done."

While Smith said that he isn't that interested in recruiting, sometimes actions speak a lot louder than words.

"I've been to all of the Georgia home games. I like going to Athens. Every time I go there I talk with the coaches. I talk with Coach Smart, Coach Bobo, and Coach Richt; pretty much all of the coaches. We talk about how my season is going and which schools I'm interested in. If I had to name my favorites right now, I would say they are Georgia, Mississippi State, then Tennessee in that order."

"I'll be setting up my visits some time after the season."

For now, Smith and his Bronco teammates have a big task ahead of them as they head to the Big Orange Jungle of Parkview Friday Night.
