Evans getting used to life as a freshman

ATHENS – Bryan Evans spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: Tell me how things are going for you this season

Bryan Evans: It's going pretty well; it's kind of frustrating because I'm not playing. I am trying to fight through that right now.

Did the coaches talk with you about redshirting?

The team knows what it needs. We've got two senior cornerbacks and Paul Oliver has stepped up. Thomas Flowers – I'm guessing that they really don't want to use me this year, and have me burn a year. If you look at it like that it's not as frustrating, but me not playing is hard.

I guess you've been watching Florida play this season – what do you think?

I was very happy to see some of my old teammates play well against Tennessee. I called them the other day and they asked me how I was doing. He said what I was going through is typically what every freshman goes through during college. He just told me to keep my head up.
