Linebacker Takes Visit, Sets Another

Fort Pierce, FL linebacker Chasman Davis is one of the best players available at his position in the Sunshine State this year. This past weekend he tripped north to West Virginia for his first official visit of the year. He talks to Scout.com about his time in Morgantown.

"It went good. I liked it. I liked the environment and stuff. The coaches were good and I met with the players to get a feeling of the place. I'd probably give it an 8," Chasman Davis said.

What was the best part of the trip?

"My favorite part was them winning that big game against Louisville. I think I fit in up there academic wise and all of that too."

Davis spent some one on one time with the head Mountaineer.

"Coach Rodriguez let me know that you have to work hard to play and I want to play early. He let me knew it's a good place and that he's going to coach you hard."

Chasman had high praise for the facilities at West Virginia.

"I loved the weight room. It's big and it's got an indoor track too. The stadium was nice and they are going to be building on that next year. It was packed."

Freshman linebacker Morrty Ivy was Chasman's host for the weekend.

"He was straight up with me about everything and how it is to be a linebacker there. He says he likes it there. We just hung out downtown and watched some football games that were still on."

How has this visit impacted things on his favorites list?

"This definitely improved West Virginia on my list. They are in there with Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee and N.C. State. There still isn't a leader."

Davis has now set his 2nd official visit as well.

"I go to Georgia on November 4th. That's the only other one I have set right now."
