Big Mississippi Lineman Checks out Georgia

Josh Davis is a big offensive line prospect from the state of Mississippi. Davis made an early commitment to the Ole Miss Rebels, but decided he wanted to take some official visits before making a final decision. This weekend he took an unofficial visit to see Georgia.

"I have offers from Ole Miss, Georgia, and Nebraska right now," said Josh Davis (6-6/295). "Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and Maryland pretty much call me every week. We talk about how recruiting is going and coming for a game to check out the campus."

Davis checked out one campus over the weekend.

"I went to the Georgia/Arkansas game over the weekend with my cousin and my brother. I got to talk with Coach Callaway and Garner after the game. They told me they were glad to see me and hoped I had a good time. They said I was still high on their list."

Davis has one visit set up so far, and it's to the team he made an early commitment to.

"I have an official visit set up to Ole Miss on December 2nd. I'm going to set up my official visit to Georgia soon, and I may set up a visit with Maryland. I'm still committed to Ole Miss, but I want to look around just to make sure."

Davis has helped lead his Tylertown team to a 4-2 record thus far.

"We lost to South Pike on Friday 34-14. I had at least eight pancake blocks during the game."
