Florida Week: Georgia Injury Updates

ATHENS - An update on the injures facing the Georgia Bulldogs this week.

D.J. Shockley wasn't the only Bulldogs limping at Georgia's Monday practice. Center Russ Tanner, a new addition to the injury list, didn't practice and wore a brace on his left knee. Strongside linebacker Brandon Miller also sat out and wore a walking boot on his left foot to protect a sprained ankle. Team doctors have told linebackers coach John Jancek to expect to have Miller available in some capacity Saturday, Jancek said.

Tony Taylor (elbow), who returned to practice Monday, will play and start at middle linebacker against the Gators, Jancek said. If Miller can't play, Danny Verdun Wheeler will move to the strongside, and Jarvis Jackson will start on the weakside. If Miller does start, Verdun Wheeler likely will back up Jackson on the weakside.

Defensive tackle Gerald Anderson (concussion) returned to practice and will play Saturday, he said. Tight end Martrez Milner (shoulder) practiced in a green, no-contact jersey.
