As a selection partner of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, it's our task to choose character as well as talent, and it was evident as we came to the press conference announcing Justin Anderson's selection to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that we had made the right choice.
Anderson was introduced by the Irwin County Cheerleading squad as they chanted
his nickname to the tune of "Eye of the Tiger". As the chants of
"Bean" faded away, the ceremony began, and Anderson was presented with
his Jersey, officially making him a member of the 2006 U.S. Army All-American

with the selection process.
"Bean's just a great kid. Everyone here loves him. He's never failed a
class, and he's never been written up. He's just been a pleasure to have

Any player that participates in a game such as this forfeits their remaining
high school eligibility. The U.S. Army recognizes a player for what he has
achieved in his community, school, as well as what is on the field, but
evidently, that's reason to punish the prospects of the Peach State according to
the Georgia High School Association.
"I'll tell you what," said Wilson, "it was a real consideration
for him. He loves to play basketball, and he throws the shot and discuss in the
spring. He has to give that up for his senior year. He can play on the
basketball team until he plays in the game, but then it's over. We talked about
it, and we decided this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that he couldn't
