Dawgs, Tide & Tigers Do Battle

Earl Alexander is one of the more coveted recruits still remaining on the board in the state of Alabama for the class of 2006. The versatile athlete names a top 3 schools for his signature.

"I like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU and Clemson. I think the first 3 are my top ones," Earl Alexander said.

Why do the Tide, Tigers and Dawgs hold the advantage?

Alabama: "They're just playing good ball right now. I've always been an Alabama fan and I feel I would fit in well there."

Auburn: "Basically the same thing as Bama. I think I fit in good."

Georgia: "They're playing good ball and winning. I like the offense and I think I can fit in there with their scheme."

Earl plans to take his time before making a decision.

"It will be pretty close to signing day when I make a decision. I'm not in any hurry."

Alexander took a crack at a qualifying score last weekend.

"I had to take the ACT last Saturday. I feel real good about it. I think I did pretty well. I took some on line classes and used some software at home to get ready."

Earl will take an unofficial visit to the Capstone this weekend for the Tide's Homecoming festivities.
