ATHENS - Quarterback D.J. Shockley participated in every drill during Monday's full pads practice, and his injured left knee is continuing to improve, he said.
"There were some times (Monday) I was a little hesitant, but it's going to come," he said. "I think it'll take a couple days before I get my full speed back. I have no doubts when Saturday comes, I'll be completely ready to go."
Shockley came to the team's practice field for more than 90 minutes of rehabilitation in the training room and on the field Sunday, he said. He has been fitted with a slimmer brace than he wore during practice last week and said he's not concerned about being less than himself when he plays against the Tigers.
D.J. Shockley, who was interviewed Monday for a segment this week on BET, hasn't played since the first half of the Oct. 22 Arkansas game, when he sprained the MCL in his left knee.
"It feels like I haven't played in so long," he said. "I'm ready to get on the field."
