Coutu: PAT mistakes won't happen again

ATHENS – Brandon Coutu spoke with Dean Legge for a short time after one of Georgia's fall practices.

Dean Legge: Talk about this game a little bit.

Brandon Coutu: It's the biggest game of the season – a one-game playoff. If we lose this game we are not in the SEC Championship, and that would hurt. I think we are lucky that we've gotten three tries at it. I think that everyone knows the importance of this game. We will never take Kentucky lightly; they've always been a good team, and they've always given us trouble.

How do you think the team did last Saturday against Auburn?

I think the performance was great. I think we played well. The offense moved the ball like it should have, and I think the defense played well in the second half. I think everyone did their job. Auburn is a great team, and they played great as well. It was just one of those game that went back-and-forth – back-and-forth. I thought, at the end of the game, that we did enough to win the game. They ended up making that big play, and it just ended up the one that made the biggest play won.

Do you automatically think about going onto the field for extra points?

I automatically think that. I am usually at the net warming up. I cam trotting down the sideline, and the snapper Brian Jordan and Coach got me. I think a couple of the guys snuck by and got onto the field. It was just something we were taking for granted. That's something we are going to clear up this week, and I don't think that's going to happen again.
