Shackleford: I expect Inman to start

ATHENS – Reserve offensive tackle Ken Shackleford said Monday he'll be ready if pressed into service in the SEC Championship Game, but he thinks he'll be backing up regular starter Daniel Inman.

"I expect him to start," Shackleford said.

Daniel Inman, who practiced Monday in a green, no-contact jersey, did not speak to the media after practice. He missed the entire second half of the Georgia Tech game due to a left shoulder injury.

Ken Shackleford, a junior, started the season rotating with Inman and starter Dennis Roland but hadn't played in nearly a month coming into the Kentucky game. He played against the Wildcats when Inman suffered a minor ankle injury and then saw more action against the Yellow Jackets.

"I was a little timid at first, but the longer I stayed in, the better I played," he said.

Linebacker Tony Taylor said there's a "better than 50 percent" chance he'll play against the Tigers. Taylor missed the Kentucky and Georgia Tech games due to meniscus damage in his left knee, but he practiced Monday in a green jersey.

"If you can call what we did practice," he said.

The Bulldogs worked out at the Ramsey Center due to rains in the area.
