LSU Commit Visits Georgia

Stephenson High School's Perry Riley is a highly sought after linebacker prospect and he made his verbal commitment to the LSU Bengal Tigers back in the month of October. This weekend saw him visiting the Georgia Bulldogs however and he talks to Scout.com about whether or not they were able to catch the Tigers.

"I went over to Georgia this weekend. I liked it. I had fun. I'd probably give it an 8 or an 8 and a half," Perry Riley said.

What stood out most about the trip?

"Just meeting the players and hanging out with the guys was the best. Playing NCAA tournaments and all that up in the dorm rooms was real cool."

Coach Richt made his best attempt to turn the local standout.

"He just asked me how I feel about Georgia and did they have a shot. He didn't force to commit or anything like that and I really respect that about him. I told him they still had a shot and that I was considering them. LSU is #1 but they definitely still have a shot."

Riley had been to the Athens campus numerous times so not much of the surroundings was all that new to him.

"The facilities have always been top of the line. I love the weight room. That thing is just beautiful. The dorms are another thing that is nice. LSU is a little bit bigger but they're both nice."

He was hosted by Antavious Coates on the visit.

"Antavious Coates was my host over there. He was real cool. He showed me around and he knew a lot of people so that was real cool also."

As for now, it appears LSU is still the odds on favorite to sign Perry come February.

"LSU is still pretty solid. I don't see myself changing. If I do change it will definitely be Georgia. There is no other school out there."
