North or South?

Pennsylvania DL prospect Jared Odrick has waged a heated recruiting battle for his signature among schools that stretch from up and down the eastern coast of the United States. On Monday he will finally put an end to the recruiting process however when he announces his verbal commitment at a press conference scheduled for 3:00pm inside his high school. Five schools still remain in the running at this time.

"I'm still considering Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Penn State and Florida," Jared Odrick said.

With his decision right around the corner, it's no surprise that the Odrick household has been jam packed with college recruitors hoping to improve their standing.

"In the past week I've had Coach Groh from Virginia, Coach Rogers from Virginia Tech, Coach Mattison and Coach Meyer from Florida, Coach Johnson from Penn State, Coach Garner, Coach Richt, Coach Martinez and Coach Johnson from Georgia all for in-home visits. They all went really well."

Jared talks a little more in depth about the visits with the two Southeastern schools still in the running.

"Florida came to the school and talked to me a little bit there. They came to my basketball practice and then they came back to my house and we hung out and talked about Florida and they told me how much they want me."

"Georgia was here Sunday and they showed up for my practice there at the school. After that they met me back at the house and ate dinner there. It was a lot more relaxed with them. I enjoyed talking to Coach Richt and Coach Garner a lot. They mentioned the Army All-American Bowl and all the other guys they had going out there and some of the guys they're recruiting that will be on the East team with me."

It's just a waiting game now and you can bet that fans all over the country will be sitting anxiously as this highly recruited 4-star prospect announces his choice next week.
