Georgia Target Heads North

Carlos Brown had basically told his high school coaches that he had narrowed his decision down to Georgia and South Carolina. Head Coach Tim Barron had told Michigan the same thing when they came to see Brown last week, but the Wolverines made a late push and got a commitment from the South Hot 100 Running Back.

"He called me up and said he was going to Michigan," said Heard County Head Coach Tim Barron of Carlos Brown. "He came up to me yesterday and told me that he hadn't made up his mind yet, but that he was going to the office to fill out and application, so I knew he was serious."

Brown had previously filled out applications to Georgia and South Carolina in order to enroll early.

"From that point on, I knew he must really be thinking about Michigan. I think he finally quit listening to everyone else and made a decision on his own, a decision that he was comfortable with."

"He's relieved the process is over. I was talking to his mom last week, and she told me that when Carlos was younger, he always wanted to live in another part of the country when he grew up after having been in the same place all his life. He wanted to experience something different."

Brown will get to experience Big 10 Football, and he will bring speed, shiftiness, and leadership to the Wolverines.

Where does this leave the Dawgs? Knowshon Moreno and Cameron Smith are still very much in play for the running back position.
