Sugar Bowl: 12/19 Practice Report

ATHENS - Georgia continued preparations for its Nokia Sugar Bowl contest with West Virginia by holding a pair of workouts Monday.

The Bulldogs held a 90-minute morning practice followed by a 60-minute evening session. Bulldog fans are encouraged to show their support on game day at the Dawg Walk which will be held at 6:25 p.m. outside the Georgia Dome near the Gold Deck. It is the same location where Georgia held it before the SEC Championship game.

"It would be awesome if we have another great turnout like we did for the SEC Championship game," said Georgia coach Mark Richt.

When asked about how the players are looking forward to the Sugar Bowl being in Atlanta as opposed to New Orleans this year, Richt said his team knows it's going to be a great trip.

"The players are excited, and they're looking forward to the different events the bowl has planned for them like going to the new aquarium," said Richt.

Richt added a good thing about being in Atlanta for the bowl game is in case somebody forgets something, you can hop in the car and actually go back and get it. He conjured up that memory from his days as a graduate assistant coach at Florida State when he was in charge of bringing certain items for the staff.

Kickoff for the Nokia Sugar Bowl will be Jan. 2 at 8:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by ABC.
