Decision Time Looms

California WR David Ausberry is one of the most highly sought after pass receivers to still remain uncommitted in the class of 2006. He's narrowed his list down to three powerhouse programs from different areas of the country and he's set to announce his decision on national TV at the Army All-American Bowl.

"I've got it down to Ohio State, Georgia and USC. There isn't a favorite school yet," David Ausberry said.

David talks about why he favors each program.

Ohio State: "I was born there. I have always liked them and it's grown even more since they started recruiting me."

Georgia: "It's just a good school that's came in the picture. It's a good school and I like the atmosphere there."

USC: "Growing up in California that's a school that you just follow."

The Buckeyes and Dawgs got the final pair of in-homes with Ausberry before the dead period.

"I've had in-homes with Ohio State and Georgia recently. Coach Tressel came in for Ohio State. It went real good. We just talked about everything. It wasn't just focused on football. Coach Eason, Coach Richt and Coach Johnson were here for Georgia. That one went good as well. We just talked about everything in general again."

David is excited to play with a couple of friends he's made during the recruiting process when he reports to San Antonio for the All-American Bowl on New Years Day.

"I keep in touch Vidal Hazelton and Taylor Mays a good bit. It's just nice to get away from everything and meet up with them down there. I'm looking forward to that."

Will it be the West Coast, Midwest or Deep South for this 5-Star WR? Stay tuned to Scout.com and tune into the Army All-American Bowl on January 7th for the answer...
