Lady Dawgs take on Ole Miss: Kendall's Take

ATHENS - Josh Kendall's take on the Lady Dawgs game with Ole Miss.

Time/place: Today, 7 p.m., Tad Smith Coliseum, Oxford, Miss.
Records: No. 17 Georgia is 9-3, Ole Miss is 10-3
About Ole Miss: Junior guard Armintie Price is one of the most dynamic players in the conference. She's averaging 18.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, both team highs. The Lady Rebels have two other starters, guards Ashley Awkward and Ashley Johnson, who are averaging double digits in points. … The good news for Ole Miss is that the home team has won the last five meetings in this series.
About Georgia: This is the SEC opener for the Lady Bulldogs. … Reigning national co-freshman of the year Tasha Humphrey is once again leading the Lady Bulldogs with 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. … The surprise this season has been the scoring punch of senior guard Sherrill Baker, who is averaging 18.8 points per game.
Scouting report: The Lady Rebels play very aggressively and get to the foul line more than any team in the SEC, and that's a problem for Georgia. The Lady Bulldogs play just six players and can't afford to have any of them in foul trouble. "We can't foul them," Coach Andy Landers said. "We can't. That's just out of the question for us." Georgia's advantage is Humphrey. The Lady Rebels don't have anyone who can guard her.
Up next: Georgia vs. Florida, Sunday, 2:30 p.m.; Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State, Sunday, 2:30 p.m.
