Catching Up With Carmichael

Woodstock LB Danny Carmichael has been a much talked about prospect in the Peach State over the last few months. Rumors have been running rampant about his recruitment and he clears up some of the confusion right here with Scout.com.

Despite reports that North Carolina had stopped recruiting Carmichael, he says that's not the case.

"I have a visit to UNC coming up this weekend. They didn't really pull my offer. I'm the first one on their list that they'll take if someone de-commits or doesn't qualify. I'm just looking to see what it's like and everything. I've heard it's a beautiful campus," Danny Carmichael said.

Danny is also looking at a trip to Knoxville.

"I'm going to visit Tennessee as well but I'm not sure of the date yet. They say they like me a lot but they are just evaluating everyone right now."

The Georgia native has made it no secret that he'd like to stay home and play for the Bulldogs but he has not received an offer from UGA.

"Georgia is talking to me but I don't know if I'm going to get an offer there or not. Coach Bobo and my dad talked the other day and he said there's a chance but he just doesn't know."

Middle Tennessee State University looks like a likely destination if those other options are not on the table.

"I still have Middle Tennessee if none of those come through. That would be a great college."

Some have speculated that Carmichael may walk-on somewhere but he says the likelihood of that is not great.

"I don't think I'm going to walk on anywhere. Probably not going to do that."
