Will DB Stay In-State?

Quinton Culberson has offers from virtually every major college football power in the South. The Mississippi prospect will have a tough decision to make.

Quinton Culberson is one of the top defensive back prospects in the South. He also is a standout wide receiver. According to Culberson, he has scholarship offers from every SEC and ACC school and Notre Dame, Southern Miss, West Virginia and others.

"Right now, I am open," said Culberson. "I like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Auburn."

Culberson, from Jackson (Miss.) Provine, plays both safety positions in high school. He prefers to play cornerback at the next level but safety and maybe even linebacker could be the position he grows into. This summer, Culberson plans on camping at Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Jackson State.

"Spring practice went well. In fact, it went great. I plan on working hard this summer and going to some camps. I do not know what I will do about the (recruiting) decision. Right now, I plan on taking my time with the decision. I would like to take visits. I just don't know yet."

Last season, Culberson caught 17 passes for 259 yards and 5 scores. He intercepted 5 passes on defense.
