Johnson picks USC

ATHENS – Georgia just missed out on pulling one of the top running backs in the country from his own back yard.

Stafon Johnson picked USC over the Bulldogs this afternoon on ESPN News. Johnson said earlier this week that he did not have a leader. Georgia coaches, including Neil Callaway, Kirby Smart, Rodney Garner and Head Coach Mark Richt visited Johnson earlier this week at his home.

USC is currently ranked fifth, two spots behind Georgia, in's National Recruiting Rankings. The Bulldogs have 2,346 points while the Trojans have 2,242. Florida is in first place with 2,798 points.
