Update 2003 - Armand Cauthen (WR)

Borderwars 101 Team member Armand Cauthen of Douglasville, GA was looking forward to his chance to display his skills at his spring game in front of a hoist of scouts, and he didn't disappoint. "Armand caught four (4) passes for 123 yards and one (1) touchdown," said Armand's father Arthur Cauthen. "His best catch a hitch and go, the quarterback (Eric Carter) let it fly and Armand accelerated his stride reached out grabbed it and separated from the DB for a 70 yard score. There were several scouts/recruiters in attendance. A few that immediately come to mind were Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, Connecticut and Florida. Over the last couple of weeks there have been probably give or take 45 to 50 coaches that have come by the school and close to double that amount that have called the house."

Cauthen is likely to add North Carolina and Florida to his list of camps this summer. As the weather is heating up, so is the pursuit of one of the south's top receivers.
