Ward named Super Bowl XL MVP

Former Georgia wide receiver Hines Ward was named MVP of Super Bowl XL Sunday night after the Pittsburg Steelers beat the Seattle Seahawks 21-10.

Hines Ward led all receivers with 123 yards on five catches with a touchdown. Ward also set up a score by catching a 43-yard pass form Antwon Randle El's on a trick play. The former Bulldogs is the second former Georgia player to be named Super Bowl MVP in the last ten years. Running back Terrell Davis was named MVP of Super Bowl XXXII after a 157-yard, three touchdown day that helped the Denver Broncos beat the Green Bay packers 31-24.

Ward played running back, quarterback and wide receiver at Georgia from 1994-1997.
