Jackson talks spring ball

ATHENS – Jarvis Jackson spoke with Dean Legge for a short time about Georgia's upcoming spring practices.

Dean Legge: What are you working on to get ready for the spring?

Jarvis Jackson: Personally, I am trying to get better, get faster and put a little weight on to get stronger. As far as the spring goes you just have to try to get better.

What are you at right now?

And what are you trying to get to – 225?

Yep, 225.

Why that goal specifically?

It's going to be my last year, so I am trying to get a little faster and stronger. I got up to 220 at the start of the season, but as the season goes on its hard to maintain weight. I am just trying to put some weight on to get stronger and faster.

Can you talk a little bit about where you will play in the spring? Will you be inside and out?

That's hard to know.

You've kind of played all over… right?

Yeah, Mike and Will, but we've got a couple of linebackers coming in and some young guys, too.

Would you like to be in one spot?

It really does not matter because I am happy to be on the field. I look to try to make plays the best I can. It does not matter where I am.
