FINAL WORD: Georgia needs a go-to receiver next season to stretch the field. Kenneth Harris seems most likely to replace Sean Bailey in that role, but neither did an effective job consistently reeling in the long ball all season. That's where Allen could come in, but not at first. If Georgia's receivers continue to struggle bringing in the long ball, Allen could get his shot on the offensive side of the ball. Otherwise, he'll likely redshirt as a cornerback this fall. The depth chart seems too much to overcome for this true freshman at corner. On the other hand, Allen could get a shot at returning kickoffs this fall as well. He returned one kick during Sugar Bowl practices that made Head Coach Mark Richt exclaim: "How about that return man?" Georgia needs help at kickoff return and it seems Allen can give them that.
