"Florida called and offered me this week. I now have offers from Florida, Kansas State, Kansas and Missouri," Logan Gray said.
The offer has shuffled Gray's list just a bit.
"I like Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Miami."
He denies a favorite but the offer from the Gators has certainly grabbed his attention.
"I don't have a leader but Florida is high on the list definitely. I was really excited to get an offer from them. They're a big time program and I like them a lot."
What stands out about the programs at the top of his list?
Florida: "I really like the offense they run. It fits my style of play a lot. They're bringing in tons of great athletes so you'll be surrounded with great players. It's just a nice program."
Georgia: "I have family that lives there so I've been to a game and been around the campus. It's a nice area and I've kind of watched them play for a while because my stepdad went to school there."
Iowa: "Their coaches are great people and they're a program on the rise for sure."
K-State: "I like Coach Prince a lot. I think their program is turning around and I think their new staff is just excited to be there."
Kansas: "I got a chance to go to their junior day and Coach Mangino left a great impression on me. He's down to earth and they know how to treat their players. The program is headed in right direction."
Missouri: "I know all the coaches and I grew up in Columbia so I've watched them play for a long time. I feel at home with them really."
Miami: "I got to talk to Coach Berry who's the new QB coach and Miami is just kind of a school you just dream of playing at like a Georgia or a Florida."
Gray should have his pick of many programs by the time signing day 2007 rolls around. Keep your eye on this Midwestern standout…
