Dixson talks about goals for spring

ATHENS – Dale Dixson spoke with Dean Legge for a short time about Georgia's spring practices.

Dean Legge: Tell me a little about spring ball and how you fell so far…

Dale Dixson: I fell healthy. I am real excited to be out here. We have not played a game in a while and we have been dealing with mat drills. It's good to get back here and have some fun.

Is you being healthy the number one thing for you? It seems like you got rolling and then you got sidetracked a little bit by injuries…

Yeah, that's been my story here. I'll be doing well for a few weeks and I'll get hurt and that sets me back a couple of weeks. Staying healthy is my biggest concern right now. I came into camp healthy and I want to stay healthy. I also want to compete and have fun with the guys out there.

How about putting pads on in the next couple of days – is that something you look forward to?

I look forward to competing. It's hard competing 100 percent with a shoulder problem. I know that the offensive line looks forward to it because we take it out on each other when we have pads on.

What's the number one thing you are going to work on this spring?

Staying healthy, and working on my pad level on the pass rush.
