Miller discusses spring ball

ATHENS – Brandon Miller spoke with Dean Legge for a short time about Georgia's spring practices.

Dean Legge: You had a lot of expectations coming into college, and now you are half way through your career here how do you feel like you are doing as far as your goals are concerned?

Brandon Miller: I feel like I am halfway from reaching the goals. I feel like I am doing a good job here, but I feel like I can always do a better job. I am trying to do better everyday as far as school and football is concerned.

Being one of the bigger linebackers, do you find it difficult to do certain things?

The advantages for me being so big is when I am on the line against tight ends because of my size. My weakness would be in coverage. I am trying to work on that right now.

Have you ever seriously considered moving to defensive end? I know that people have been talking about that. Is that something that you would be interested in doing – ever?

I mean, yeah I would. But if that were the case I would rather play a little bit of both defensive end and linebacker.

You would rather stand up though?

I like to do both. Sometimes I like being in the ground, and sometimes I like standing up.

Who is the most powerful linebacker on the team?

Right now – Jarvis Jackson. He's the hardest hitter.

Is he just mean?

No, he can just hit – it's natural.

How often in high school did you play with your finger in the dirt?

I started out at end and then I changed to linebacker.

Now you played wide receiver in high school, too…

Have you been talked with about that (moving to wide receiver – jokingly)

No, those days are over with (laughing). I wish!
