"If he's out the rest of the spring, it would be very disappointing," Richt said.
Henderson was moved from cornerback to wide receiver eight practices ago and has already moved to second team at flanker thanks to his quick transition. The volume of running during practice for wide receivers probably led to Henderson's injury, Richt said.
"He said last week it felt like it was tightening up a little, but he did make some nice plays today before it happened," Richt said.
Several Georgia receivers have had hamstring issues in recent years.
"I think we just have to be a little wiser as to how often we run routes in practice," he said.
The Bulldogs worked out for a little more than an hour Monday and will return to the practice field Wednesday.
