"My Dad Wants Me To Go..."

Cameron Heyward is one of the best big athletes in the country. Despite splitting time between the basketball court and the gridiron, he's already picked up four scholarship offers and he talks about some of his recent visits here, as well as where his father "Ironhead" would like to see him spend the next 4 years.

"I have offers from Pittsburgh, Auburn, Maryland and Ole Miss. I don't really have any top schools yet," Cameron Heyward said.

The Peachtree Ridge star recently made junior day visits to the in-state Dawgs and Jackets of Georgia and Georgia Tech respectively.

"I liked the campus a lot and the environment at Georgia. I talked to the coaches and I was really impressed with them. I like Mark Richt a lot and I like the defensive coaches. I really like the facilities at Tech and they are very focused on making their players a lot better."

Cameron currently has plans to play both basketball and football once he arrives in college/

"I'm going to try to play both sports. Florida State, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Auburn, South Carolina and Tennessee are recruiting me the hardest for basketball. Pittsburgh is the only school that has offered me and they told me I can play both sports."

The big DT's father Craig was a standout for the Pittsburgh Panthers and as should be expected, he grew up a fan of the Pennsylvania program as well.

"I grew up a Pitt fan really. I know a lot of the community around the school. I wouldn't be a stranger up there or anything. That's also where my father really wants me to go right now. He loved Pittsburgh when he went there. I know he really likes Pittsburgh and Georgia. My dad wants me to go to either of those two schools."

Unfortunately "Ironhead" has fallen ill recently and is currently hospitalized in suburban Atlanta. Would Cameron prefer to stay closer to his father or is he open to going away for school?

"I'm not sure yet. I haven't given that much thought yet. I'm going to give everybody a fair look and check out all of the schools."

Heyward is scheduled to attend the Scout.com Combine at Georgia Tech on April 15th…
