Tiger Who?

According to CBS Sports' Jim Nantz, The Masters is "A Tradition like no other." Another tradition is choosing a golfer that you think is going to win The Masters. I thought who better to ask that question to than the Georgia Bulldogs men's golf team. Currently the defending NCAA Champions are ranked #1 in the nation and on Wednesday some of them told me their Masters pick.

I asked the golfers the same basic questions:
1) Who will win the 2006 Masters?
2) If not Tiger Woods, where will Tiger finish?
3) Have you ever played at Augusta National and if you have what was your best score?

Senior - Kevin Kisner
1) Retief Goosen
2) Somewhere in the Top 10
3) Yes, I shot a 73
Senior - Butler Melnyk
1) Davis Love III
2) 5th or somewhere in Top 5
3) I shot a 74
Junior - Chris Kirk
1) Luke Donald
2) He'll be the runner-up
3) Yes, I shot a 77
Freshman - Brian Harman
1) Retief Goosen
2) Tiger will be in the Top 15
3) I played twice and my best score was a 72
Freshman - Adam Mitchell
1) Phil Mickelson
2) Top 3 or Top 4, near the top
3) Not yet
Assistant Coach Ryan Hybl
1) Phil Mickelson
2) Top 5
3) I shot a 75

Thank you for your answers and in a few short days we will know who is right. Even though Tiger Woods is the heavy favorite, no one I asked picked him. Maybe they all like underdogs. By the way in case you were wondering, I picked Ernie Els.
