2006 Spring Practice: Day 14 Practice Report

ATHENS – The University of Georgia football team held its final practice of the spring Friday afternoon, a one and a half hour session in shorts and helmets. The team went through most of its standard practice drills, then split into the two teams that will face off in the G-Day game, Saturday, April 8. The game is slated to kick off at 12 p.m.

"The Red Team will be the first team offense and the second-team defense," said Georgia head coach Mark Richt. "And the White Team will be the first-team defense and the second-team offense. I want everyone to know that we will play the game even if it is raining, so I hope that doesn't keep fans from coming out."

When asked about the quarterbacks, Richt said Joe Tereshinski, III will start the game.

"All of the quarterbacks will get reps with the first team," said Richt. "Joe T. will play the first quarter, Joe Cox the second, Matt Stafford the third, then we will finish up with Joe T. in the fourth quarter. I want Tereshinski to finish the game in case we get into any of those one-minute situations."
