Smith talks recruiting

Quentin Grant recently spoke with South Point High School quarterback Chris Smith. The South Point, Ohio native went on record with his offers and schools of interest.

Quentin Grant: What schools do you have offers from?

Chris Smith: I've got Ohio University, West Virginia, and Marshall are the only three that have offered me so far.

What are some other schools you are hearing from?

Clemson, Stanford, Virginia, Nebraska, NC State, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Georgia are some others I'm hearing from.

Do you have any favorites at this point?

No, I'm trying to just stay open, because I don't know who all is going to offer me and I just want to keep all of my options open.

Have any of these schools hinted that they may be about to offer?

I think Colorado is getting ready to offer me, but I don't have any favorites or anything yet.

Do you have any plans about camps this summer?

May 6 I'm going to the Elite Eleven camp at Penn State. I'm going to Ohio State, Miami (Oh), and Marshall.

Have you been to any Junior Days?

I've been to Ohio University and that's the only one so far because I've been really busy with track.

What are you looking for in a school?

Just somewhere I will fit in, and somewhere I can call home for the next four or five years. I want to be comfortable and somewhere I will fit into the offense.

When are you looking at making a commitment?

I may not wait all the way until the end, but I'm nowhere near that decision yet.
