Georgia Sleeper Loves Dawgs

Lane Vasser is a player we didn't know much about heading into the Scout.com Combine in Atlanta a few weeks back, but that's not the case any longer. Vasser checked in at 6'1.5 197lbs and ran a 4.53 forty to go along with a 4.23 shuttle and a 32" vertical jump. Those types of numbers raised some eyebrows and Vasser is receiving attention from quite a few recruiters because of it.

"I've gotten letters from about 30 schools so far like Georgia Tech, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky and Miami," Lane Vasser said.

The Chestatee star has a clear leader for his signature.

"Georgia is definitely number one. I also like Georgia Tech, LSU, Clemson, South Carolina and Tennessee."

Why is Mark Richt's club on top?

"Well I'm a big Dawg fan. I've met their whole staff and I have some people I know that went there. I've just grown up with Georgia."

His junior stats certainly indicate the ability to get it done on the football field as well as in a combine setting.

"I rushed for 1358yds with 17 TD's and 300yds receiving on 12 catches. I didn't really play much defense this past season."
