White commits to Dawgs

ATHENS – Georgia has added another player to its Class of 2007 – Charles White, a linebacker from Blythewood, SC.

White committed to the Bulldogs last week. He is the fifth commitment in Georgia's Class of 2007. Tanner Strickland, Conrad Obi, Rennie Curran and Trinton Sturdivant have also committed to playing for Georgia.

White recently visited Athens for a camp a few weekends ago and has been rumored to be very interested in the Dawgs since. White also received offers from Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee State and Maryland.

White's head coach is Jeff Scott, who is the son of former South Carolina head coach Brad Scott.

White had 96 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, five sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble. White played at Ridgeview High School last season. This is Blythewood's first season of varsity football.
